Has Auto No Fault Reform Affected Your Life?

Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) is conducting a series of surveys to understand how the changes in Michigan Auto Insurance Law that took effect on July 1, 2021, are impacting crash survivors and their families, as well as service providers. The first survey was distributed in October 2021. Now the survey is being distributed again for the second time and we NEED your participation.

If you did not have a chance to participate in the first survey in October 2021, or did not recently receive an invitation in your emails, we encourage you to take this opportunity now to participate in this important work.

FOR SURVIVORS AND/OR FAMILY MEMBERS:

The survey will ask questions about services the crash survivor received before and after July 1, 2021. Additionally, the survey will ask for some demographic information, including personally identifiable information and some health information. Completing the survey should take approximately 30 minutes.

FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS:

The survey will ask questions about the services your organization provides and how the changes (including the 55% cap, the 200% Medicare cap, and utilization review) have impacted your operations. Completing the survey should take approximately 20 minutes.

Your survey answers will be collected by MPHI where data will be stored in a password protected electronic format and can be accessed only by authorization. MPHI takes extreme care to protect sensitive data. Only the aggregate information will be shared with lawmakers and other stakeholders to understand the effects of these changes on the healthcare systems and patients in our state.

To ensure that all those affected by the changes in the law are represented in the survey responses, we urge you to share the survey link with contacts that have the potential to contribute.

Please submit your completed survey as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday, May 15, 2022.
